EdTek for Law Schools
Law schools, and in particular academic support and bar directors, face the challenge of bandwidth limits on the number of essay questions for which they can provide feedback. However fundamental the skill of essay writing, financial and personnel constraints prevent significantly increasing the use of essay questions and feedback to assist student understanding and exam preparation.
Key challenges to expanding the use of essay questions include
Limits on the time and resources available for providing feedback to student' answers to essay questions.
Ensuring consistent and high-quality feedback for all students.
Including personalization and targeting of students in need of additional attention.
Adapting to the modern, flexible learning needs of students.
How EssayTUTOR works
EdTek's EssayTUTOR enhances the learning experience with an advanced set of AI-driven technologies designed to provide personalized, scalable, and effective training solutions.Β Using our proprietary process, EssayTUTOR has been customized to meet the specific needs of law schools for formative assessment and bar essay questions.
EssayTUTOR fact patterns are similar to those found in law school essay and MEE-style questions, with the additional step of the call of the question broken down into IRAC-format. This structure allows for a step-by-step process to provide more in-depth understanding of a topic and more accurate assessment of a student's response.
EssayTUTOR is tailored to legal education-specific needs, with student answers "read" by our proprietary system, whether the response is to a formative assessment question in a doctrinal course or a bar preparation essay question.
EssayTUTOR provides AI-generated feedback based on student answers assessed against model answers, to the same standard as an instructor's comments. Our platform supports a large number of questions and users simultaneously, making it ideal for law school doctrinal courses, academic support, or bar preparation.
EssayTUTOR includes detailed analytics and feedback on student progress, allowing faculty to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
While the initial version of EssayTUTOR includes sample questions and answers, the structure will allow faculty to input their own questions and model answers, with the system functioning in the same way as described above.
EssayTUTOR enables the generation of custom practice tests tailored to specific areas of study, utilizing AI to pull from a vast database of trusted content. This allows students to focus on their weak points and enhance their learning efficiency.
