Where legal publishing meets AI engineering.
We build AI products that make authoritative content queryable, draftable, and verifiable. Every answer grounded in your source material — because in legal, publishing, and professional services, accuracy isn't a feature. It's the point.

Hallucinations — multi-layer source verification architecture
How we got here
edtek.ai started with a simple observation: the world's most authoritative content — legal treatises, compliance handbooks, professional reference works — was losing to generic AI tools that confidently gave wrong answers. Readers stopped opening the book and started asking ChatGPT. The answers were fluent and wrong. The source material was accurate and invisible.
Steve Emanuel, who spent decades building one of the most widely-used legal study aid series in the United States, saw this from the publisher's side. Evgeny Smirnov, with 19 years in software engineering and 12 in AI/ML, saw it from the technology side. They partnered to build what neither could alone: AI products that make authoritative content conversational without sacrificing accuracy.
The first proof point came in January 2025 with the AAAi Chat Book — a partnership with the American Arbitration Association that transformed their case preparation library into a conversational AI for arbitrators and practitioners. Every answer cites the source. Every response is grounded in the actual text. When the source doesn't contain the answer, the system says so.
That model — your content, made intelligent, with no hallucinations — is now available to legal teams, publishers, and professional services firms through three products: Edtek Chat for conversational AI, Edtek Draft for document generation, and Edtek Cite for authority verification.
Hallucination-proof by design
Our multi-layer verification architecture — semantical retrieval, multi-criteria reranking, and AI-driven source validation — ensures answers come only from your verified content.
Deploy on your infrastructure
For organizations with strict data residency requirements, we deploy on-premise. Your content never leaves your control.
